Hello! I’m Korantema.

I’m a curator from London. You can usually find me making zines, dancing jazz, or talking about afro hair.
My work focuses on home, identity and storytelling. I love to highlight the extraordinary in things that are often overlooked. I work with oral history, archives and especially enjoy celebrating the heritage of the African and Caribbean diaspora.
I run a creative project called Black Hair Stories and have freelanced with museums and galleries across the UK. My work has been featured in gal-dem, Vice and ITV News.
I currently work as a Senior Curator at the Horniman Museum and am a Trustee at the East End Women’s Museum. I used to be the Head of Community at social justice charity, Arts Emergency. You can find me on LinkedIn.
