Hello! I’m Korantema.

I’m a cultural producer and curator from London. You can usually find me making zines, talking about hair or working with young people and my local community.
My work focuses on home, identity, justice and storytelling and I love to highlight the extraordinary in things that are often overlooked. I work with oral history and especially enjoy celebrating the heritage of the African and Caribbean diaspora.
I curate a creative project called Black Hair Stories and have freelanced with museums and galleries across the UK. My work has been featured in gal-dem, Vice and ITV News. I currently work as a Senior Curator at the Horniman Museum and the Youth Voice Lead at social justice charity, Arts Emergency.
